Elissa Byrd
Elissa is the founding member, owner and designer of Great Home Endeavors. She is an experienced business professional, having worked at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta for over 16 years, and was a team member of the critical full transition from the former Atlanta Egleston Hospital to Arthur M. Blank Hospital. She has exceptional organization and project management skills.
Her home building experience includes managing design centers in the North Atlanta area that provided services and support to custom home builders. She has owned rental properties, purchased and “flipped” multiple homes, and has managed short term rentals. Through these experiences, she has been able to take design concepts, plans, and visualizations of possibilities, through the entire permit and planning process to execution and full completion.
Elissa also understands the challenges of buying and selling real estate, and new home construction. With her knowledge, and relationships with financial partners, she easily helps clients navigate any potential financial needs - and obstacles.
Great Home Endeavors can not only build your Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU), but we can also help furnish it. Our design options include organization suggestions and installations, general interior design consultations, real estate staging for resale, accessory selection, discounted furniture purchases and more.
Andrew Byrd
Andrew has been involved in various businesses since the earliest days exhibiting his entrepreneurial zeal; the young age of 12.
He started companies during his successful radio broadcasting career and retired to pursue his entrepreneurial endeavors. He later developed other business ventures providing services throughout the southeast and other areas across the USA, but along the way, he and his staff always helped people build their dreams. Recognized as a leader, Andrew has received many accolades and awards. He has served on boards of directors for many for-profit and nonprofit organizations, contributing not only his business acumen, but also demonstrating his humanitarian spirit.
Fueling his passions and visions comes easy and he has a burning desire to always make a difference, while also being exceptional. His parents instilled the importance of serving others and having a sense of community. With those intentions in mind, Andrew looks forward to literally building something meaningful and special for families. Additionally, he looks forward to working with other leaders to determine opportunities to provide solutions for housing needs and concepts that will meet the needs for families and communities.

Jonny Floyd - North Georgia Builder
Jonny is a fourth-generation builder with over 12 years of experience in the construction industry. His deep-rooted passion for the craft has driven him to travel extensively, exploring new techniques and innovative methods to enhance his work. Recently, he completed building his own home, a project that reflects his expertise and personal connection to the craft.
With a particular focus on working with natural woods and accents of timber framing, Jonny brings a distinctive, nature-inspired touch to every project. He has completed numerous custom builds for clients in the scenic North Georgia mountains, earning a reputation for quality craftsmanship and attention to detail. For the past five years, he has owned and operated a successful handyman business, further honing his skills and expanding his range of services.
Outside of work, Jonny enjoys spending time in the great outdoors and finds joy in integrating the beauty of nature into his building projects. He is happily married to a supportive and beautiful woman who shares in his passion for life and his work. Together, they continue to build a life that blends craftsmanship, nature, and family.
